NCHRP-350
The Federal Highway Administration has made the work zone safer. The NCHRP Report 350 is a way to test items in the work zone to make sure that they are crash worthy. Manufacturers submit items to be tested in real time tests. In January 2005,  the Ohio Department of Transportation is starting to enforce that equipment in work zones to be NCHRP-350 compliant.
